The problem with all of the desktop options is that they lack the one peripheral device they need to work effectively with Windows 8: a touchpad. Just to catch everyone up, Windows 8 is engineered for touch. Follow the On Screen instructions. Find and double-click Touchpad Driver from the left panel to uninstall. Right-click the device, and click Uninstall. Click OK to remove the driver. After the uninstallation is complete, reboot your computer as soon as possible.
